Most of us don't go looking for trouble. But sometimes trouble finds us. So it pays to be ready when disaster strikes.

Join Army veteran/HOOVES Alumni Instructor Geoff Earnhart and Navy veteran/HOOVES Alumni CJ Burnette for this one-day class as he provides basic knowledge and skills to prepare for, live through, and recover from emergencies & disasters using modern tools and materials. Students are exposed to and practice preparedness principles and basic survival skills. The day culminates with a practical exercise inspired by real events.

Instruction takes place in a relaxed environment emphasizing learning and practice – this is not a pass/fail event. Anyone ages 12 and above of any experience and fitness level are welcome. Minors must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.

This class explores the following topics:

·Preparedness principles

·Mental & emotional readiness

·Shelter Building

·Fire Building

·Water Procurement

·Signaling

·Stop the Bleed Class (Certificate of Training)

Class workbook and equipment provided; students will need to wear weather-appropriate clothing, and bring lunch/snacks, personal items, and a water bottle. Students should be prepared to spend the day outdoors.
